		After a wonderful summer in the northern hemisphere, I am now busy launching Learning Styles in Austria. The interest is very big because after a long tradition of successful academic achievements, student performance is now way down compared to other European countries and people are looking for better learning and teaching strategies. Therefore it's the right time to introduce the Diversity Concept to a quite traditional school system. Before I return to NZ, I will have training seminars in Helsinki and Vienna in October. Autumn is here and I look forward to spring and warmer weather in the southern hemisphere.
The following picture gallery shows where I was between May and September and I was lucky enough to mix work with pleasure, meeting new people, visiting interesting places and enjoying wonderful concerts.

Bar in Montego Bay, Jamaica, with an exhibition about the movie "Cool Runnings" and they still train for the next Olympics!

I attended an electrifying concert with Percy Sledge and was fascinated by the rhythm the Jamaican audience has.

After the conference in Montego Bay I had a short holiday and really enjoyed swimming with the dolphins. Nice to get a kiss from such a gentle animal.

Back in Austria, I visited my old hometown of Friesach, where there is a medieval festival each year with authentic food, music, theatre and costumes.

An amazing performance by the Japanese group Yamato drummers. What skills these young people have!

In stark contrast, folk dancers at Austria's biggest traditional folk festival, the "Villacher Kirchtag" in the south of Austria.

Another great singer in an open-air concert: Roger Whittaker before an audience of 7000 people in Pörtschach at the beautiful Wörthersee.

On a cruise through the Mediterranean I visited Naples and was fascinated by the vastness of the city of Pompeii and the demise of its people due to the eruption of Mt Vesuvius.

One cruise stop-over was in Tunis where we explored the ruins of Carthago - very impressive and very hot.

In Barcelona I went on a tour to see Gaudi's legacy and the incredible Cathedral Sagrada Familia which has been built for over 100 years now and won't be finished for another 20 years!
